PCTO School Trips in Nice for Italian High Schools

An international experience that combines language learning, transferable skills and career exploration.

International House Nice welcomes groups from Italian high schools for programmes designed around their Percorsi per le Competenze Trasversali e per l’Orientamento (PCTO). We work with each school to combine language lessons, cultural discovery and activities linked to the professional world.

Our programmes are primarily taught in French. We can also organise a trip in English, depending on your school's learning objectives. Duration is flexible: most groups stay for one or two weeks.

Language lessons tailored to your group

Students usually have 3 to 4 hours of lessons per day, Monday to Friday, in classes of no more than 15 participants. We agree the course content with teachers: everyday communication, speaking with confidence, teamwork and vocabulary relevant to students' areas of interest. Lessons give students opportunities to use the language in practical situations throughout their stay.

Workshops that support career exploration

We can complement lessons with talks and workshops on entrepreneurship, marketing, administration, hospitality, sustainability or artificial intelligence. Students exchange ideas, collaborate and reflect on their interests and possible study or career paths.

Learning across Nice and the French Riviera

The programme can include guided visits, museums, a photo rally in Nice's Old Town, an introduction to perfume making, and excursions to Èze, Antibes, Cannes, Villefranche-sur-Mer or Monaco. Activities are selected with your school according to its educational aims, students' ages and the length of the trip.

A trip organised around your needs

Depending on availability and your group's needs, International House Nice can arrange host family, hostel or hotel accommodation, as well as transfers, local transport, meals and activities. We also take accompanying teachers' requirements into account.

At the end of the course, we can provide a certificate of participation and, on request, complete documents supplied by the school. The Italian school defines the PCTO learning objectives and determines how the activities are recognised within its own procedures.
