William Rubinstein, a graduate from the University of Rennes, opened the school in 1984 and continues to run it today. Before founding his own language school in Nice he taught French as a foreign language, first in the United States and then in New Zealand.
He pays very close attention to the quality of teaching provided and is always personally involved in the day-to-day life of the school. From 8.30am to 6.00pm he will always be present to welcome you, to listen to you, to encourage you, to share his good humour and his optimism with you and to enjoy your company.
Born in 1949 in Rennes, Brittany, he also has foreign links as his parents were Russian and Ukrainian. He lived in New Zealand for a long time and became a New Zealand citizen. He worked as a French teacher in Dunedin and Wellington in various institutions including universities, colleges, and a French cultural centre. A few years ago Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Great Britain and the Commonwealth, awarded him a medal for his contribution to New Zealand writers who stay in Menton near Nice under the aegis of The New Zealand Port.
He is a father of three with an interest in classical music and paintings, and he dedicates his life to the development of the French language in the world and to the management of his school. If he is not present it is because he is away on business, touring the world either attending pedagogical conferences or winning over new markets.
