A student is enrolled when the school received its registration form accompanied by a first or partial payment.
The amount will be deducted from the invoice. Upon receipt of your registration and payment, it will be confirmed by fax or email within 24 hours and will then be considered final.
One or two weeks later you will receive your invoice will show that you paid and what you have to pay.
If you have paid all at once the information about the family, the studio or residence will be given .
If there is to pay the balance, do it immediately and send you information about your accommodation upon receipt.
The complete dossier includes a description of the host family or chosen accommodation with its location on a map, the description of the course, a detailed invoice and a letter with practical information and tips on life in France and Nice.
Minors (under 18) need medical insurance and a copy must be sent before the arrival of the student, accompanied by a parental discharge we send you.
The caution :
If you take only one course, the deposit is 450 euro. If you choose to take the course and family accommodation, the deposit is 450 euro. If you book a summer residence for teenagers in the family deposit is 680 euro.
If you book your course more than a hotel, an apartment or a residence for young adults, the deposit is 450 euro plus 500 euro or 950 euro.
An additional deposit of 400 euro will be requested by the owner of your studio. The residence will ask for a deposit of 200 euro when booking a room. In both cases the deposit will be returned after damage inspection by the owner or by the school.
Students must have liability insurance to cover them in case of damage they could cause in a family, in a studio or in a residence.
The cost of the stay unless the first payment must be received 4 weeks before the start of the course. You can pay:

Courses and accommodation, all course material, the possibility of borrowing a French book (for beginner and elementary levels), a student card (on request), a . city map, a student guide and free internet access with our computer or WiFi connection The registration fee of 45 euro is payable for all courses. It does not include: Excursions and social activities except for the senior program and summer program for teenagers. The courses:
Courses begin each Monday except for complete beginners who start every other Monday and for the longer courses.
Classes are held Monday through Friday, except holidays. If a four-week course includes two holidays, one day will be refunded. Holidays for courses lasting more than four weeks are taken into account in the Discount and are not reimbursed. Private lessons are always caught.
A class consists of minimum 3 students and a maximum of 10 students except for the summer program for teenagers whose classes have 15 students. If a student is the only one of its level, a program of 20 lessons will be reduced to 10 one lessons with the ability to integrate with other courses or giving him extra work. If a class has only 2 students, 15 lessons will be given instead of 20. This reduction of hours made for management issues does not influence the quality of courses and student's progress is as rapid as in During a normal 10 students if not faster.
Accommodation starts on Sunday before classes at 16h and ends on Saturday after the last class.
Other arrangements are possible in agreement with the host family. Refund:
If canceled before the start of a course, the amount paid will be refunded within a week of the course and accommodation if the school receives notice of cancellation at least two weeks before classes begin.
Once you start the course, fees are never refunded, except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Director.
If a student is absent for the course for personal or medical reasons or to pass the DELF, the days lost are not reimbursed.
If a student wishes to make changes to the dates of his stay, accommodation or the type of course chosen when he has already received his invoice, a sum of 25 euro will be charged to him.
If you are a citizen of the European Union, you do not need a visa. You can ask the health service of your country a European insurance card (European Health Insurance Card EHIC) which will help you if you get sick.
If you are not a citizen of the European Union and if you stay less than three months, you must apply for a tourist visa at the Consulate of France in your home country.
If you want to stay longer than three months, you must request a long-stay visa which will allow you to obtain a residence card you ask when you are in Nice. We will help you in your administrative steps if you wish.
It is recommended that you obtain medical insurance, transport and civil liability that may be helpful.
The school International House in Nice can not be held liable for accidents that may happen to you or you may cause during your stay.
